The Ben Gurion International airport is comfortably nestled 12 miles from Tel Aviv and about 31 miles from Jerusalem.
Airport Information
The international airport is very conveniently positioned on route number 1 which links Tel Aviv with Jerusalem. The Ben Gurion airport has 3 terminals. The terminal number 2 was initially used to cater for domestic inflow but later on was set for demolition after progressive transfer of its duties to terminal number 1. Now this plan was re though over and now terminal number 2 is being redeveloped to be used by low cost airlines. The terminal 3 is the new entrant in the list of terminals and caters to international passengers. This ultra modern terminal building was open in November 2004 and is expected to cater to about 15 million people each ear. 24 hour service of shuttle busses can be availed to move between the terminals and also to and fro from the long term parking area. Located conveniently at the entrances of the terminals are short term parking locations while the long term parking is done at a place marked out at some distance from the terminal buildings. Taxi’s can be hailed from near the airport reception and also available is the option of shared taxis. Busses too can be taken from near car park 1 as well as outside terminal 1. Also available as an option is the new rail service operating between the airport and Tel Aviv. This train journey takes about 15 minutes to shuttle you between these two destinations.
Information Desks
Information help desks are strategically located in the main hall of the airport and at the departure areas. Besides these information desks there are also present automated kiosks to help you gain information in English regarding the status of your flights and other ravel related information. The Israeli government too operates a 24 hour tourist office within the arrival area of the airport which is destined to iad you with your queries and doubts. Also all around in the terminal buildings are positioned ground stewards to offer you their assistance when you need it.

Dedicated lounge facilities are provided to the travelers using the Ben Gurion International airport which are capable of handling their needs and requirements. Other facilities being offered at the airport include the services of a medical centre, a synagogue, 24 hour luggage rooms, disable friendly services and porter services.
No hotels are situated at the airport and the nearest one from the Ben Gurion international airport is the Aviva hotel. The city of Tel Aviv though has plenty of lodging options suiting all kinds of travelers and their budget fitting requirements.
