Malacca, the initial name of Malaysia is located between India and China and is considered as the busiest port in South-East Asia. Malaysia’s major portion is invested in sea-trade. Many immigrants like Chinese, Indians, Siamese and Arabs settled on the coast of Malaysia for sea-trade. All religions like Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam are practiced in Malaysia.

Malaysia, situated in the heart of Asia is a basket full of culture, natural beauty and amazing beaches which can drive you crazy. Tourists’ months are November, December, January and April to June. The weather in Malaysia is comparatively warm throughout the year although humid during couple of months from May to June. Spoken language in Malaysia is Malay, Chinese, English and lot of Indian regional languages (since almost 30% of the population has migrated from various parts of India) but Malay is an official language. Currency used here is Malaysian Rinnggit also known as Malaysian Dollar.

Malaysia which is known for its natural beauty, beaches, historical heritage is also known for its Islands like Pulau Besar, Pulau Upeh, Air Keroh etc. You will also find many historical buildings Stadthuys, St.Paul’s Church, Muzium Rakyat, St.John’s Fort.

Entire Malaysia is awesome, yet there are several places which will compel you to stay for another couple of days. Several valuable places of Malaysia are as under:-

Kuala Lumpur
– The Capital City of Malaysia and one of the most beautiful cities of the world. This city is specifically known for its Shopping Malls, Sky Scrapers, restaurants and cheapest five – star hotels.

Kuala Lumpur is denoted by several names like “Garden city of Lights” and “The Golden Triangle”. One of the major attractions of Kuala Lumpur is Petronas Twin towers which is second tallest buildings in the world. You will find a Shopping Mall at the ground floor of Twin Towers where as other floors are house office of Petronas Company. These Twin Towers are connected to each other on 45th and 46th floor. Although the Petronas Towers are owned by the company however since this state of art building has become a landmark and reflection of Malaysia so the interconnecting bridge on 45th floor is open for tourists. Other places that can be visited in Kuala Lumpur are Kuala Lumpur Station (Railway Station), Batu caves, Menara Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown.

Malacca – It is 147 km from Kuala Lumpur and the city is famous for historical architecture and food. Malacca is a link between India and China. It is the “must visit” city of Malaysia as it is full of fascinating places and views.

Penang – It’s a small beautiful island on the coast of Malaysia also known as “Pearl of the Orient”. It is famous for delicious cuisine, beaches, seas. There are many places to visit in Penang such as Georgetown City, Clock Tower, Snake Temple. This city is also famous for Botanical Garden, Penang Hills, Holiday resorts near the sea, Pubs and Restaurants.

Langkawi – It’s another beautiful island at North West coast of Malaysia touching territorial waters of Thailand. Langkawi is more popularly known as Duty Free Island. Attractions in Langkawi would be the kuwah town, calm and serene beaches, exotic beaches towards North West of the island, underwater park, and most importantly the duty free shops.

Ipoh – This city is the capital of Parek and another most beautiful city of Malaysia. Often called as “Bougainvillea City”. Ipoh is famous for Chinese food, Tin Mines and Limestone Mountain Caves. You will also find number of restaurants and bars here. Places to visit here are – St.Michael’s Institution, Parek Tong, Mari Amman Temple, Kellie’s Castle.

Kota Kinabalu – It is the Capital of Sabah and the largest city of East Malaysia. Kota Kinabalu is famous for resorts. Places that one can visit here are – Kota Kinabalu city Bird Sanctuary, Kota Kinabalu International Airport, State Mosque, Atkinson’s Clock Tower, Ethno Botanic Garden, Sutera Harbour Golf and Country Club, Gaya Street Sunday Market, Karamunsing Complex, Stilt Villages, Tun Mustapha Tower.

Redang – This place is famous for Scuba Divers. Redang is also known for its crystal clear water and white sandy beaches. A perfect place for vacation as it is famous for beaches.

Perhentian Islands – It is a small beautiful island but not many people have visited this island, it is still unexplored. Places to visit here are – Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, Labuan, Langkawi, Pangkor, Tioman Island, Tenggol Island, Sidapan Island. For peaceful vacations you can always go for islands.
