The Birth of the modern Middle East began after the First World War which caused the fracturing of the Ottoman empire into small fragmented separate nations. The final departure of the European powers from this region paved way for the final transformation towards development for the Middle East. The regions significant oil stocks gave it huge economic importance and leverages way beyond any other region of the world.

The topography of Middle east ranges between arid and semi arid. Grasslands, deserts and mountains spread out in vast acres and depict the diversity of the landscape adorning this region. The country of Turkey has the distinction of acting as a bridge between the Middle East and Europe. This rare distinction is very much evident from the heavy European influence found all around the Turkish territory, ranging from food, architecture, culture or history there is that special European elegance found in its elaborate coastlines and the urban metropolis which is so naturally mixed with the native original Turkish charm. This happening metropolis environment quickly gives way to the land of hard, harsh and rugged treks through the deserts of Iraq and Turkmenistan which can be accessed on foot or by a camel.
