The Munich international airport is located approximately 18 miles to the north east from the city of Munich.
Airport Information
The Munich international airport has 2 terminals to its name and these terminals though situated at a short walking distance are connected by means of the services provided by the Munich Airport Centre. The Munich international airport is situated between Munich and Deggendorf just off A92. Once the airport is reached you are expected to travel the road signs and reach the desired terminal of the two terminals present. As mentioned earlier the two terminals i.e terminal 1 and terminal 2 are connected to each other by means of the Munich Airport Centre (MAC). Ample car parking facility is available at the airport in the form of underground parking as well as multi level parking’s. all these parking lots connect directly with the airport providing easy access to passengers. Apart from these there are also remote car parks located which are generally used for long term parking purpose and these parking spaces have shuttle busses plying which connect them with the main airport terminals. Travelling from the Munich International airport to the city too is very convenient. Taxi services are available outside both the terminals and makes life easy for the travelers. Those keen on taking a bus ride to Munich or to any surrounding destination can do so from either of the two terminals. Regular coaches and busses frequent this route. There is also present the option of a rail link between the airport terminals and the cities adjoining the Munich international airport. S1 and S8 are two commuter trains available for travelers to use and get them connected to the city centre of Munich and other Munich destinations. Travelers can then from there catch trains to other German or European destinations that they wish to visit.

There are adequate help desks situated throughout the premises of the airport. A central information centre is located on the third floor of the central area which is equipped with staff having multi lingual proficiency. The terminal 1 has its own information desks both near the arrival and departure halls while terminal 2 too has its own share of central information centre near its arrivals and departure areas.

Just like any other international airport the Munich International airport too has its fair share of facilities that it can provide the travelers visiting its premises. The communication facilities doled out for the travelers include wireless internet connectivity throughout the airport, the facility of 24 hours internet access at the service centre internet point. Apart from allowing guests to reside in their hotel it also provides an opportunity to the non guests to use their pool, fitness area and spa on payment of a nominal fee.
