Initially Pakistan was a part of India until its partition from India in 1947. The British ruled over the Indian subcontinent till the year 1947 and their departure saw the partition of Pakistan from the Indian mainland. This partition was carried out on the basis of religion where the Muslims decided to make Pakistan their homeland while India had a majority of Hindus. Later on even Bangladesh(was then referred to as East Pakistan)which though thousands of miles apart from Pakistan was included as a part of Pakistan. Partition of Pakistan with India gave birth to communal unrest in Pakistan sparking turmoil and tension. With time as stability was finding its place here up came the split of East Pakistan from Pakistan in 1972 leading to the formation of Bangladesh. It took several years for the people of Pakistan to take control over the entire situation and provide the present state of democracy and peace.
