The prosperous rule of the Inca’s came to an end in 1532 with the arrival of the Spaniard Francisco Pizzaro. Peru was under the Spanish rule for about 200 years and all this while it was quite peaceful. Located in Peru is also the Colca canyon which is twice as deep as the Grand Canyon.
